The Bill (Reg. No.4644) introduces amendments to the effective Law appertaining to certain aspects of "safety of foodstuffs" and "freedom of foodstuffs consumption".
Thus, the Law is supplemented with a new clause concerning freedom of foodstuffs consumption. Pursuant to the Bill, an individual has the right to adopt decisions at will concerning possibility of consuming certain foodstuffs.
The Bill also prohibits production and distribution of foodstuffs with the components or substances that exert extra influence or become addictive.
During the meeting go the Committee it wad declared that the Bill contradicts with the Constitution of Ukraine as no one is authorized to make person do what is not envisaged by the legislation, all people are equal in their rights, the same concerns right to chose foodstuffs.
